A memory to collect – A modern and eclectic hotel with a strong personality!
Design concept based on various women who had a connection to the place. We created personalities for these women that would in different ways reflect the guests we envisioned visiting the hotel, and applied this to the layout as well as the choice of materials, colors, and details.
The women we created for our first concept presentation stayed with us all the way to the finish and helped us continually make the right decisions for the concept.
We consciously wanted to move away from the traditional Grand Hotel and instead give it more of a girl power or feminist vibe, hence the name Grand Joanne, and to let women take their place instead of the men who were likely the majority when it first opened.”
